I hate people...

Sometimes people are so stupid/annoying/naive/oblivious/entitled (and any other negative adjective you can think of) that I felt it necessary to have a place to vent anonymously. If you share my pain or have your own story to share, email me at ihate08@gmail.com.

Grow up

I really hate the choreographed miscommunication.  This is usually done by peons in your department at work, or by immature friends who don’t know how to act  (who are probably peons at somebody else’s work).  It starts probably a month in advance, where they don’t actually know what to do about a problem, so they lie about it.  Then, when it all comes crashing down, they all play dumb and act like they don’t know what anybody is talking about.  Are you too weak/stupid/ashamed to just fess up and deal with it?  So you just leave your mess for somebody else to clean up?  Seriously, how old are we here?  And then, because nobody knows what’s going on and they’ve just simply never even heard of such a thing, there is no consequence.  Except the guilt that I hope keeps you up at night reminding you of how much you suck.

Get a job, loser

I just talked to an old friend who was recently fired from her job.  Actually, it was a month ago and she has yet to find a new job.  I asked her if she was ok financially and she said yes, that she should be good for about another month and by then she’ll be receiving her unemployment checks.  This made me extremely angry.  She was just so nonchalant about it, like she didn’t really need to look for a new job.  And not only that, it was like she felt entitled to this money since she had worked and paid taxes for the past year or whatever.  OK, I guess that’s how the system works, but I don’t think you should get unemployment if you get fired for being a fuck up.  Why is she ok with this?  Is this actually a desirable way to live?  I can’t imagine you get that much money from unemployment, but what do I know?  Don’t come crying to me when you’re broke and can’t pay rent.

Never assume

Yesterday I had sent an email to one of our vendors and asked them not to substitute their craptastic, blank, ugly bags for our custom printed ones.  I just got an email back saying they didn’t, and that they just used a larger bag and charged us for the smaller bag.  Um, hello?  I saw the bags and have the invoice that shows, in detail, the item number and description of what you sent!  So I had to email her back to prove my point and now I’m the bitch.  Don’t assume I didn’t check into this, and don’t assume your warehouse is not capable of making a mistake.  Just do the research yourself, that is your job - right?  Argh.

Myspace

Yes, I know, I shouldn’t spend as much time on myspace as I do.  I’m addicted, what can I say?  My problem here is with the survey bulletins that people post.  If your answers are all boring then why do you bother?  To consistently remind people how lame you are?  If you answer no to every question and don’t give a smartass reason for anything, how is that entertaining to anybody? Can’t you just post it as a blog so I don’t even have to know about it?  Thanks.

!!!

Okay, my first rant is because I have this serious issue with people using excessive punctuation marks in their emails.  Seriously!!!!!  Is it really necessary???  It makes you seem frantic and it pisses me off.  I also have a problem with people who use ALL CAPS when they are not conveying anger or making an important point - or whatever the point is of using all caps.  IT MAKES ME FEEL LIKE YOU ARE SCREAMING AT ME!!!!  SHUT THE F UP!!!!!

See?  That’s the proper way to use all caps and excessive punctuation.
